The common denominator
All our SDR solutions rely on a key form factor: FMC (FPGA Mezzanine Card). FMCs have become over the past two years the most popular form factor for rapid application development and deployment. As an industry standard (VITA 57.1) FMCs enjoy broad support from Xilinx, Avnet, 4DSP and other third party vendors. For a complete list of our FMC product offering please visit our FMC portal.
Development kits
Avnet and Xilinx have several development boards available for the newly released FPGA devices. Since the advent of the Virtex-6 and Spartan-6 the FMC has become the de facto standard for adding SDR capability to a platform. The new 7 series and Zynq development kits all support the FMC standard.

All other 4DSP FMC cards are also supported on the Avnet development platforms. They are made available with a free reference design that comprises of a Software program example, an FPGA reference firmware design (VHDL) along with an ISE project and relevant documentation. These solutions work out of the box and simplify the design phase for the most demanding applications.
