  • Description

      The PC760 is a high-performance, half-size PCI Express card with I/O capabilities designed to address advanced data acquisition and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) requirements. The card is an adaptation of 4DSP's widely adopted PC720 Kintex-7 FPGA carrier card with 1GB of DDR3 SDRAM. The PC760 is an excellent choice for high-performance applications such as software defined radio that require large band analog signal digitization or generation through the use of accelerated frequency-domain algorithms. The analog signal input for the PC760 is digitized by an ultra-high speed A/D that provides one 12-bit ADC channel with a sampling rate of 3.6Gsps (Texas Instuments ADC12D1800). In addition, the A/D capability in the PC760 is provided flexible control of clock source through serial communication busses. The A/D design is based on the Texas Instruments' ADC12D1800 Analog-to-Digital chipset. Analog signal output from the PC760 is available from one 14-bit D/A channel at 5.6Gsps. The D/A design is based on the Analog Devices AD9129 digital-to-analog converter. The analog signals are AC-coupled, connecting to MMCX or SSMC coaxial connectors on the front panel. In addition, a trigger input for customized sampling control is available. The PC760 is equipped with power supply and temperature monitoring and offers several power-down modes to switch off unused functions for both A/D and D/A in order to reduce system level power consumption.
