Aeronautical Application Engineer
4DSP, a leader in Data Acquisition and Real Time Signal Processing Systems, is looking for a talented individual specialized in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering. The Candidate will be responsible for developing and testing Fiber Optics Sensing Systems relying on a patented technology from NASA (more details about this technology can be found here). As part of a team of engineers the Candidate will be given the opportunity to lead the efforts in applying this technology to UAVs, fighter jets and other aircrafts. Job Description
- Perform environmental and functional tests for 4DSP Fiber Optics Sensing Products and Systems.
- Review and refine potential customer requirements in regard to their interest in Fiber Optics Sensing Technology and provide proposals based on 4DSP's COTS technology.
- Perform installation and support of 4DSP Fiber Optics Sensing Systems on customers' sites.
- Analyze data in regards to the structural performance of aircrafts.
- Review and suggest modifications to 4DSP products in order to improve 4DSP Fiber Optics Sensing Systems.
Required Skills and experience:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
- Must be familiar with fiber optics technology.
- Hands on individual who's willing to bring his expertise to a system integration team comprised of software and electrical engineers.
- Experience with Digital Signal Processing techniques would be a plus.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
