Title: I2C address of the I2C-bus to SPI bridge chip
Post by: ssasi on February 24, 2014, 07:08 PM
Hello,

In Table 7 of the FMC12x manual, it states that the I2C addresses of the devices depend on global address pins (GA0, GA1).

How do I find out the values of GA0 and GA1 on my board? Are they certain pins on the FMC connector?

Thanks.

Dear Sir,

Yes they are coming from the carrier via the FMC connector. On ML605 it is '0' for other boards you would need to consult schematics/user guides.

Best Regards,
Arnaud

Thanks, Arnaud. I find that they correspond to C34 and D35 on the HPC FMC pinout, and also called the Geographical Address pins.
