Title: PC720 Board
Post by: sanka on January 12, 2015, 10:41 PM
Hi,

I am doing a design with an Adelaide based company "Ebor Computing", who has purchased a PCIe board "PC720" serial number: KDI000017. This board has an FMC150 plugged into it and the serial number on that is KDGX 003180. I had my PCIe design loaded yesterday onto this board and it was working as expected. I had the board turned off over night and this morning I loaded the 4DSP example compiled using 366_pc720_fmc150 code. Unfortunately, the PCIe bus does not get enumerated any more. I loaded my bit file which was working yesterday and I am not able to get this bit file to work either. Please note that my design has my own implementation of the DMA engine. Looking at the chipscope signals, it looks like the system is held in reset.

What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks and Regards,

Sanka Piyaratna

Dear Sanka,

Happy new year. The most obvious resolution would be an RMA iteration. Do you have another PC720 you could try in their computer?

Best Regards,
Arnaud

Hi Arnaud,

Happy new year to you as well. Thanks a lot for the reply. Unfortunately we don't have another PC720 board at the moment. Ebor computing has one board in order and supposed to be here next month. I have passed the board onto James Giesbrecht at Ebor and he is going to create an RMA number with Dedicated Systems. I have taken the FMC150 and progressing with the development using ML605 board.

I am wondering where can I get hold of the Linux routines for configuring the FMC150?

Thanks and Regards,

Sanka.

Sanka,

If you have purchased a Linux BSP including FMC150, you should have the usual BSP with a FMC150xApp running under Linux, delivered as source code.

The tar.gz archive for Linux is included by the Windows BSP.

Dear Sanka,

Is there anything I can do in more for you around this issue?
