Title: 64 Bit Board Support Package
Post by: FPGAengr on May 15, 2013, 01:05 PM
I am writing a GUI in Matlab to send data to the FPGA using the 4DSP Ethernet module, but the .h, .lib, and .dll files needed on the PC are 32 bits and my 64 bit Matlab won't compile. Is there a 64 bit version of the board support package available?

Hello,
We have recently ported our driver/api towards native 64 bit but it is very early material, barely beta. Note that we don't expect problem, lack of soak testing.
I assume you might be interested to use the given components, the actual dlls, libs and headers as well as the device driver running natively on 64 bit. The chery on the cake being DMA using the whole computer memor space; implictly no bounce buffering done by the OS.
I can prepare an archive with this components if you wish, just let me know!
Best Regards,
Arnaud

Our email filter may have deleted the message because of the attachment. If you are sending a .zip file please change the extension to .pdf so it will pass the filter. I will change it back once it arrives.

Thank you.

Hello,

Has the 64-bit build been incorporated into the main BSP installation? I have 2.221.1 installed right now and I can't seem to find any x64 binaries.

Thank you!

Arnaud,

Is it possible for you to send me the 64-bit build over email, like you did for FPGAengr back in May?

Thanks!

-Jim

Arnaud,

Any progress on this? It is a time-sensitive issue for us. We are preparing to launch a new product based on 64-bit software and we can't integrate your board without a 64-bit BSP. Please let me know if you can provide a 64-bit build or not.

Thank you,
Jim

Arnaud,

Thank you for providing the 64-bit binaries. I've integrated them into my project and they seem to be working well. I will let you know if I encounter any problems.

Thank you for your help!
Jim
