I have a couple of questions regarding the FMC160:
 
1)  We have a standalone 3U FMC carrier card with a heat frame that supports generic FMC cards.  Due to the heat generated from the FMC160, it appears we'll need to have a custom heatframe build specifically for the FMC160 to provide maximum conduction cooling.  Can you please provide a mechanical STEP file of the FMC160 that I can provide to a 3rd party company to have the custom heat frame designed?

2)  The FMC160 user manual indicates the ADC temperature is reported on AIN1 and AIN2 of the ADT7411.  Can you tell me if this temperature is the junction temperature of the ADC12D1800 or the ambient temperature around the ADC12D1800? 

The datasheet for the ADC12D1800 says ambient operating temperature is -40C to 85C, while the junction temperature maximum is 120C.  The software from the FMC160's BSP indicates errors when the ADC Temperature measures above 85C.  However, it doesn't take much before the ADC temperature reported by the ADT7411 exceeds 85C.  So what is the safe operating temperature of the ADC?

Another colleague answer your first item.


2) The temparture monitored by AIN1/2 is the die-temperature of the ADC12D1800. Although the software puts a threshold on 85C, the device will operate without damage upto 120C. I would recommend you the put a threshold on max 110C to account for some margin.
