Hi,

Thanks for the reply! we have 10pcs of FMC204 ver1.0 and now we have to find out any solution to overcome this. Appreciate if you can give any suggestion?

Thanks again.

Dear Sir,

Can you please provide me with a serial number?

It looks like the boards were delivered to you for ML605 long ago, they are out of warranty.

One of the workaround would be to use KC705, it uses 2.5V Vadj.

You received your FMC204s at the time VC707 was not yet existing and you are expecting these boards to be compatible with the VC707, that does not make much sense to me.

Best Regards,
Arnaud

Hi,

Our FMC204 serial number : 1661,1651, 1304, 1329 and yes it is out of warranty.

We are actually no familiar with FMC standard and we don't have the board schematic so we would like to seek your advice!

It is possible to add the voltage translator and I/O conversion logic in between the carrier board and FMC204.

Thanks again!

Cheers,

James

arnaudNL:
Dear James,

This might be tedious. But yeah, actually maybe designing an FMC to FMC adapter with voltage translation might work out.

You actually need to convert the 1.8V Vadj provided by VC707 to 2.5V. The only thing is the Vadj is used on VC707 to power up FPGA banks, so you will need to also translate these FMC signals.

There is not much more guidelines I can provide you with so I hope this is sufficient.

Best Regards,
Arnaud
